One modern community colleges in each Arrondissement or District of Haiti
High school graduates and adults in Haiti lack access to higher education or adult literacy programs, especially in Haiti’s rural areas. By developing a network of community colleges throughout Haiti, more students will be able to achieve higher educational levels in preparation for specialized university studies. Students will also have access to vocational and technical training programs such as construction, mechanics, and agriculture.
An additional component of these adult learning centers will enable adults to develop fundamental literacy and progress through high school equivalency as in the G.E.D. programs offered in other countries. As students increase their levels of literacy and academic proficiency, they will be better able to provide for their families and contribute to local and national efforts to build a better community and a stronger country overall.
